One of the world’s biggest online poker sites, PokerStars, have launched their popular World Championship of Online Poker (WC OOP), with satellites running from the 21st to 29th August. There is a healthy $500,000 on offer and three opportunities to win entry each day.

The starting price for these satellites is just $5.50, with the most expensive coming with a $260 buy-in. These games will be held at 1400 ET, 1700 ET and 2000 ET, so there will be plenty of chances to join the action.

The main WCOOP event will start on September 5th and across three tournaments there will be a total of $5.5 million up for grabs. The total purse is an incredible $15 million, which is easily the most PokerStars has made available for a single series and a huge sum in online poker. However, all eyes will be on the main $5,000 No Limit Hold’em, which will be played over two days and has a guaranteed prize pool $10 million.
